what, exactly, is wanderment?
As the name implies, Wanderment Photography is all about wandering. We all have busy lives and deserve the opportunity to get immersed in a place. To enjoy what is in front of us as we get lost in thought or have no thoughts at all. These photographs are an extension of my time spent wandering desert streams, mountains, distant cities, and coastal areas.

This will probably not be much of a surprise, but I have had a camera in my hand my entire career. First as a newspaper photojournalist, then in my career in healthcare marketing and communications. I suppose that is why I am drawn to focus my free time on photographing subjects that are mostly devoid of any element of human influence. There is something magical about capturing a fleeting sunrise in the mountains, a wild horse having a grassy snack, or the Milky Way shining bright over a desert scene. I pride myself on capturing images that are true to what one would see if they were standing next to me. No compositing, replaced skies, or AI. Just photography in the moment.
